This year’s meeting will include the dedication of the Auxiliary’s newest project; The Mobility Park on the grounds of the YMCA near the Out-Patient Rehab Center. This new park was funded by the Auxiliary and will be available for patients of all ages who have mobility issues. We’ll also share another new initiative that will help the Family Maternity Center provide extra support for our most vulnerable mothers and babies.
The meeting will include a presentation of upcoming Auxiliary events: Our only community fundraiser will be “We Should Be Dancing” on Friday, October 20th, highlighting the golden era of Rock & Roll with songs you know by heart from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. TGIF at McAuley Hall at the Walsingham Academy where a retro style gym will magically transport you back in time. Shorty’s Diner and Food Trolley will provide plenty of “comfort food” …how long has it been since you had a “Twinkie or Hostess Cupcake for dessert? We look forward to seeing you at the Auxiliary’s only community fundraiser, the 3rd annual “We Should Be Dancing”. TGIF Friday, October 20th, highlighting the golden era of Rock & Roll with songs you know by heart from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Joe Hertzler and Linda George Hertzler, local community leaders and dance enthusiasts, will be the Honorary Chairs of the Dance. It will be held at McAuley Hall at the Walsingham Academy where a retro style gym will magically transport you back in time. Shorty’s Diner and Food Trolley will provide plenty of “comfort food” and you might even choose a Twinkie or Hostess Cupcake for dessert. Even non- dancers will enjoy the fabulous music provided by DJ extraordinaire, Alan Hedgepath. Dance Exhibitions including a recreation of American Bandstand by some talented young dancers.
