Our final employee scholarship was awarded to emergency department RN, Grace Stringfield. Grace is enrolled in the RN to BSN program at Chamberlain College of Nursing and is very close to graduation! In addition to advancing her education, Grace has taken on multiple leadership roles in the ED. If this is not enough she has also completed the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) course. Congratulations on your accomplishments and graduation Grace!

Every one of our scholarship recipients is so deserving. What each of these ambitious ladies have in common is their passion for a career in healthcare and providing excellence in patient care. As an Auxiliary, providing scholarships to outstanding SWRMC employees is one of our favorite things to do! See MoreSee Less

Our next employee scholarship recipient is Alexandra McCoy. Alex started her journey in healthcare during high school when she volunteered
at SWRMC in the summer and for the Safe Kids program. While in High School she also completed an EMT and medical terminology program! Alex now works on 4 South as an NCP while attending Sentara College of Health Professions with the goal of earning her BSN. We have no doubt this ambitious young lady will make an excellent registered nurse ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ
